JOB TITLE: Digital Content Creator Intern

SKILLS: Proven knowledge in graphic design, digital content creation, information design, and digital technology. RESPONSIBILITIES: Create innovative digital and print content for the Border Management Authority. Design and edit website and digital materials. Develop multimedia and basic gamification designs. Generate graphic ideas and concepts. BORDER MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

Design and create visual materials, such as infographics and videos, in a collaborative design environment. This internship opportunity is for two ICT Technical Support positions at the BMA Head office in Pretoria. The contract duration is twelve months, and interns with a degree will receive a stipend of R7000.00, while interns with a diploma will receive R6000.00. To be eligible, applicants must have a Grade 12 Certificate and a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, ICT Support Services, or a related field (NQF level 6 or 7). Background checks will be conducted, and if deemed unacceptable, employment may be terminated.


Applicants should have knowledge and experience in ICT technical support, troubleshooting, incident management, SLA management, and customer satisfaction. Proficiency in MS Office 365, antivirus software, and other relevant ICT support programs is required. BORDER MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY


The ICT Intern will work with the Border Management ICT support team to provide technical assistance to staff members in utilizing ICT tools for their job responsibilities. This includes installing and configuring equipment and providing support for BMA’s standard software applications.

The ICT team is responsible for supervising ICT services at both the BMA’s Head Office and its port of entry. BORDER MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY.

Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and integrated development environments (IDEs). WEB DEVELOPMENT: Basic understanding of web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. PROBLEM SOLVING: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and debug code. TEAM COLLABORATION:

Effective teamwork and communication skills. SKILLS: Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders and convey technical concepts. ADAPTABILITY: Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirements.

TIME MANAGEMENT: Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines. INITIATIVE: Proactive attitude and problem-solving initiative. ANALYTICAL SKILLS: BORDER MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY Strong analytical and critical thinking skills for business process analysis and requirements. Requirements and specifications should be clearly and concisely communicated.

The ideal candidate should possess computer troubleshooting skills, interpersonal skills, the ability to work well in a team or independently, effective communication skills, and basic presentation skills. Responsibilities: The ICT Intern will collaborate with the Border Management ICT Applications Management team to develop and implement applications and systems for BMA.

They will also participate in Project Management activities to ensure timely delivery of systems, conduct UATs, and perform other duties related to systems development and applications management. Please note that this position is temporary (an internship) and will last for a period of twelve (12) months. The appointment will be made in accordance with Sectoral Determination
